Your support begins prenatal. Ideally, the earlier the better, but I’ve been called during births! I am sure you have lots of questions and are ready to talk to someone you can trust and is unbiased- I am ready to listen and provide you with evidence based information. This is the time that you are envisioning your birth and I can help you create a positive vision, helping to dispel any needless fear, and create your birth preferences. I also teach you habits to help baby get into the ideal position for birth and provide any resources that you need. Most importantly, I am a listening ear, holding space for whatever you need.  

Mindful Childbirth Education

HypnoBirthing® is based on the belief that severe discomfort does not need to be a natural part of birthing when a woman is prepared and trusts her birthing body. It is a rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing that is based on the belief that all babies should come into the world gently, and in an atmosphere of calm and joy. The program is as much of a philosophy as it is a technique and provides- deep relaxation, special breathing techniques, visualizations, affirmations, and education that allows women to summon their natural birthing instincts, birthing her baby safely and with ease.  ***

Doula

The word “doula” comes from the ancient Greek meaning “a woman who serves” and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period. Studies have shown that when doulas attend birth, labors are shorter with fewer special circumstances, babies are healthier, and they breastfeed more easily.

My birth doula package includes a complimentary initial meeting, 2 prenatal visits, unlimited phone, text, and email. Support for your entire labor, birth, and initial postpartum. You have access to my library, receive birth preferences assistance, breastfeeding support, knowledge of resources, and 1 postpartum visit including breastfeeding support. With the option of adding a HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Education series.I am on call for you starting at 38 weeks and will be with you for the entire duration of your labor and the immediate postpartum for 1-2 hours. My doula services are provided in St. Augustine, FL, Jacksonville, FL, and Palm Coast, FL.

Breastfeeding and Postpartum

Breastfeeding support is offered to all of my clients. After the birth of your baby I help with initiating breastfeeding and continued breastfeeding support. I am available to you 6 weeks postpartum via phone and text and this includes an extended visit at your home after the birth of your baby.
